Safeguarding

If a child is in imminent danger then please dial 999 for the Police.

The team at Thakeham Primary School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare, both physical and emotional, of every pupil. We aim to provide a caring, positive, safe and stimulating environment which promotes the social, physical and moral development of each individual child and strive to make sure that every pupil in the school feels safe, secure, well cared for, and able to reach their full potential.

Please read our full Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy by navigating to the 'policies' tab.

If you have any concerns about a child’s welfare please contact the school to speak to one of the safeguarding team or contact the safeguarding team at West Sussex County Council by calling 01403 229900.

Alternatively, you can contact NSPCC at 08080 800 5000.

A reminder... if a child is in immediate danger or you suspect they are a victim of trafficking, a crime, FGM or a Prevent risk please call 999.
