This half term, Oak class have been going to Forest School on Mondays. They have been introduced to safely using tools such as knives, axes and saws. They have had great fun climbing trees, making dens and going on bug hunts!
The children worked really hard to prepare and cook an apple crumble with custard which we all got to enjoy eating! The children will be exploring natural sculptures and the work of Andrew Goldsworthy.
To kick-start our learning this term, Oak Class went on an adventure to Granny's house. We followed a series of clues which she left us and we even saw a wolf on the way!
The children loved this experience and it immerse them in the story of Little Red Riding Hood. We have used this as a catalyst to write some innovated Little Red Riding Hood stories. We are so impressed with the writing the children have produced.
